Languages:        IT, EN, DE, ES, FR

Included in the Unesco  World Heritage Site list in 1997 the Savoy Residences were created with the ambitious idea to celebrate the absolute power of the ruling dynasty

Our tour starts with Villa of the Queen, a pure baroque residence on the hills of Torino.  Created as the vineyard of Cardinal Maurice, it was the delicious residence of the Queens of the Savoy family until the 19th C. The residence is at the centre of an Italian garden, with fountains, symbolic sculptures and agricultural areas. Today it is possible to admire the historic vineyard of Freisa, a typical Piedmontese red wine.

Lunch in a typical restaurant on the hills of Torino.

Our tour continues with the visit of Superga. Created on the highest peak of the hill of Torino the Basilica dominates the town and the surrounding area. The church, named after the Virgin Mary, is the masterpiece of the famous baroque architect Filippo Juvarra to celebrate the glory of the Savoy Family.
